Doesn't sound sad and depressing to me, I can relate to that.

Thank you.
It's nice to hear I'm not alone.

Yeah, I am normally on /mlp/, though these days I'm mostly just in Starlight's thread.

Interesting, how are you feeling about that if I may ask? A lot of people here used to post around /mlp/, but they kind of grew sick of the atmosphere, myself included. I just felt after a while it was hurting my positivity on things and I've been posting a lot less on the board.

When did you leave?
I feel pretty much the same way you do, which is why I usually just stick to my waifu's thread, which is nice enough, albeit slow. The board has been sort of unbearable in my opinion for some time now, since around mid season 6. I guess I can't speak for the state of the board at this exact moment, but there was an extended period of time where the catalog was dominated by pessimistic complaint threads. There was a lot of drama surrounding Starlight. I began to elaborate on this, but I ended up just writing a massive rant, so I'll just say the illegitimate criticism outweighed the legitimate. Put simply she was mercilessly shat on, more than I've ever personally witnessed, and it just really hurt me. I can elaborate further if you want, I just didn't want to give you a whiny text-wall of a rant.
Anyways, like you, I couldn't enjoy the board like I used to, as browsing it just put me in a really bad mood.

Oh please don't feel bad about walls of text, personally I love those, and I give those a bit often too lol. I dwindled down a lot once I became active here, but I guess I completely stopped early this year. I know what happened a lot there with her so I'm sorry. I can definitely relate in a few areas. I just found it was best to quit it once I found a better community that wasn't so pessimistic. Because honestly, I felt like that got really contagious. I think there's a difference between not liking things, and hating things without reason, and it seemed to be too much of the latter for me.

But yeah, please don't ever feel bad about text-walls, at least not with me. I love talking. Rarity Wink

Wow, another new user! Welcome to the forums. It looks like the other staff already got around to giving you the rules, so I won't have to.

It sounds like your experiences mirror those of several of our members: spending time on /mlp/ getting sick of the negativity, looking for somewhere better. Well, it may be presumptuous of me to say so, but I believe you've found it. Hopefully our other Glimfriend will return shortly, and the two of you can become friends. In the mean time, there are a whole lot of other nice people here, who understand what it's like to have genuine feelings for individuals some would call "fictional," so don't be shy about interacting; you can be yourself here.

Also, our last few members have been /mlp/ refugees. I haven't link-dropped there in a while; is anyone else doing it? If we have anyone else here who still browses /mlp/, don't hesitate to do so if the urge strikes, and you can manage it without shoehorning it in.

Agreed, if you got something that you want to share, out with it.

I'm surprised to hear you say that. You've mentioned difficulties on, well, you know, but thought you liked them, in general.

Why would you think that?
