Carry a self defense pistol? Like to target practice or hunt with a particular rifle?

No matter what gun you like best or for why tell us.

I myself prefer the Highpoint model jhp .45 acp. I have yet to see one jam if cared for properly, it can be very accurate, and if your bigger and taller with big hands like me it is a perfect fit to the hand and for concealed carry.

Sure also like me it looks ugly and bulky but it gets the job done with enough stopping power

Always had a fascination with the M1 Garand or M14 rifles. I've wanted to purchase an M1 for a long time, but they're way too expensive for me (if you want one in decent condition) and the price has only gone up in recent years.

SigSauer P226 .45 ACP is a pistol I've used before and have enjoyed shooting. Though I found the P225 9mm to be pretty nice as well and I know someone who swears on it. They're older models though (no rails or anything fancy.)

Never fired a gun in my life

Although, if I was given the chance, I'd like to fire a shotgun, preferably a Mossberg or a Kel Tec KSG

Colt 1851 Navy revolver.

Or some manner of flintlock pistol.

I actually took a correspondence course in gunsmithing a hundred years ago. Not that I recall much of it lol. It's possible that I could disassemble a snubnose .38 Special double action revolver. Possible.

But I've never fired a gun, don't currently own a gun, and have no intention of ever owning one. Unless it's some non-firing antique replica.

I had an uncle that had a muzzle loader similar to that navy pistol. And in actuality taking one apart is easy after you do it a couple times. I had a time pulling apart my own highpoint pistol for cleaning.

I got to play around with a beam rifle in my other wonderland.

That was fun as hell. Incinerates stuff really easily. Beautiful, beautiful fire!

"Whats my drug of choice? Well what have you got? I don't go broke, and I do it a lot. I DO IT A LOT! YEAH!" That is all I thought about when seeing this thread. I am so sorry. xD Damn Alice in Chains... *cough*

I have a old mutilated Japanese Type 38 Arisaka, that idiots from Chicago cut down the barrel, mutilated the stock to look like a generic hunting rifle, and cut off a bit of the butt. Yep, even still has the mums on it and everything. Yeah, lets ruin a nice rare high powered rifle! Big Grin Idiots........ I do favor Colt 1911s, and I also really have a love for rifles. My brother Storm Chaser used to have a Kar 98 Mauser, and I wish he still had it. >.> I really do love antique rifles as well. I really want to try a Dragunov SVD Russian Sniper Rifle. There are so many guns I want to get my hooves.... errr hands on. lol

Hell yeah! The pistol was pretty badass (or OP) as well.

I still recommend the .45 acp highpoint jhp over a glock. It is like $300 less expensive and if you actually care to do cleaning and maintenance it is also very reliable. Have yet to see one jam in normal use, ran a box through mine without a single misfire or failure to fire. Did not jam. Does not kick very much when fired. Can fire rapidly without jamming. Does not have an overly comicated hammer but instead the trigger releases a set of firing pin springs. All around I love it
