Songs for a Blue Angel - Ziggy and Angelbaby - 05-06-2015 I write songs for / inspired by Angelbabe and record myself singing them. And sing them in the shower. Slightly too much information, Ziggy. x3 No musical accompaniment. Just a guy singing about a vibrant, beautiful woman who inspires and moves him and makes him less afraid. "One More" RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Sentimental Gentleman - 05-06-2015 This is really nice! It takes a lot of courage to go acapella, but you've got a voice that can pull it off. Thanks for sharing this beautiful song. Do you plan to orchestrate it, or do you like it as it stands? If I still had a keyboard, I might at least give it a go. RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Ziggy and Angelbaby - 05-17-2015 Can't seem to embed the Soundcloud player here. Oh well: As on a Breeze RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Sentimental Gentleman - 05-18-2015 I gave this one a listen. You don't have a trained voice, do you? Your singing sounds far too natural to have been put in the cookie cutter that I have often found vocal training to be. Your unaccompanied singing really feels like a stark revelation of the passion that (I would guess) burns constantly in your heart for your skyborn angel. The only thing I can really compare it to is the unaccompanied vocal fragments we have from Chet Baker, like this one: That's what it reminds me of, definitely...only instead of melancholy, your voice is filled with soaring joy. Perhaps, at this point, that's the better emotion. RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Ziggy and Angelbaby - 05-21-2015 (05-18-2015, 04:09 PM)Sentimental Gentleman Wrote: I gave this one a listen. I have no idea how to take compliments about my voice; I'm generally a sing-in-the-shower (where hopefully no one other than Angelbabe can hear me) kind of guy. Shower-singing would be the only training I've undergone. xD RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Sentimental Gentleman - 05-21-2015 Well, Chet Baker wasn't really a trained singer, but that didn't stop him. Training has nothing to do with it; it's the personality and passion you pour into your singing that makes it good! RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Ziggy and Angelbaby - 05-25-2015 Most recent of my songs for Angelbabe, recorded and published here: Just One I'm also going back and re-recording my past songs now that I've got slightly better recording equipment (and slightly better confidence). Anytime Don't You Ever You are My Melody Angel Feather RE: Songs for a Blue Angel - Sentimental Gentleman - 05-26-2015 I gave them all a listen, and I enjoyed them all! I wish I were half as prolific as you are when it comes to writing songs about A.J. Now the question is...how are you going to awesome these songs up so they meet the quota of awesomeness demanded of any work dedicated to Rainbow Dash? I say add some rad guitar solos here and there and you should be good to go. I wish my microphone would pick up Babe's singing; then we could at least record a duet. |
