Poems for the Sweetest of Ponies - CPsSecretLover - 02-15-2017
Loneliness was my lot before you
Sadness and emptiness plagued me
But now your love has pulled me through
And though once restricted, I am now free
My soul sings of your gentle love
It guides me into the light
And though greatly disapproved of
I can see that our love is right
I don't know what I 'd be without you, my sweet
I can't bear contemplating the thought
For only with you do I feel complete
For all my life, it was your love I sought
Happy Hearts and Hooves Day, my Dearest One
I hope it brings you great glee
For it is for you that all my good deeds are done
For you first did a good deed in loving me

I really like this. Such beautiful displays of love and devotion really make our community better for everyone. I hope you'll write more in the future.

When we're together it's a good day
We celebrate it in our own way

Sweet Wine
Mama you make me feel so fine
Send that rush going down my spine
It's only for you I would walk this line
Two lovers, lost in emotion
Like two lone skiffs out on the ocean

And give my once-lonely heart the notion
Eternity

I know right now you feel alone in the world
But you should know you're my one and only girl
And though we're going through some trials
I know someday once again I'll see you smile
You see, life isn't easy when your love feels far away
But we both know that makes for a sweeter reunion day
You know that I could never leave you for another
In fact, if she wasn't you I don't think I could even love her
So even though I know that you're worried
I don't think that our matrimony should be hurried
In fact, I'm glad I'm going to have to wait longer
Because I think our separation helps our love get stronger
And though it seems too hard to do
All I need to see is a smile from you
Because even walking through the darkness
I know your sweet love can still spark this
Heart of mine into a bright burning flame
And you should know by now I'm not just running game
And when they say we shouldn't be with each other
You should know we can't listen to them, my lover
Cause they haven't been through what we've been through
In fact, they can't judge you, 'cause they've never even met you
I wonder sometimes what it's like to love a woman
But I know even if I tried I'd come back to you again
And I know that God's plan is to see us together
Even though right now we face some stormy weather
I know right now you're sort of stressed out
But I'm confident that our future's already pressed out
And to the people around we may seem on our lonesome

That's nice, man, I like it. It really shows how beautiful you think she is- nature is always a great comparative in poetry. Comes off as very sincere and reverent.
Alright, here's another one for the sugarhorse:
I know you sometimes doubt
How much I love you
I'm here to put it to rest
And show that my love is true
Have you ever looked into the sky and seen
The clouds envelope the sun?
That is how I shall embrace you, darling
When my Earthly duties are done
Or have you seen the night sky
Shroud the planet in peace?
That's I how shall comfort you, dear
In the future life that does not cease
I know sometimes my eyes do wander
But it only brings me heart aches and pain
Because while others may momentarily catch my sight
It is you and only you I seek to retain
Anytime I feel I've not been true to you
I feel nearly sick inside
And this sickness from being apart from you
I now feel I must not hide
So for any of the moments we've doubted our love
We must hold a steady course
Because the love and devotion within our hearts
Is a powerful, all-conquering force
Powerful enough to hold us together?
Why would you ever doubt it, my sweet?
I swear it is enough to bind us as one
Until all of eternity is complete

How do I love you my sweet?
Let me count the ways,
Even though I couldn't count them complete
If I listed for all my days
First there is your warm smile
That lightens the load on my heart
I have loved it all the while
Even though we've been apart
Your blue eyes, locked into mine
Can surely put me in a trance
I hope I may similarly captivate thine
If I have the chance
Then comes your warm embrace
Which softens my hardened emotion
I desire to be no other place
Than adrift in your affectionate ocean
There's the soft brown locks of your mane
Which feels of luxurious silk
I feel I needn't explain
Why there are no others of it's ilk
But most of all is who you are inside
That draws me into your love
I only hope that I can provide
All the love you need, my turtle dove
So let's ensure we do not falter
Our love is strong enough to stand
Until we both are before the alter
And I can give you my wedding band

I have an entire 8 pages of mostly poetry that I've written about her and other stuff, including an essay on her beauty, a letter to her, and a very lewd rap about her.

You should make an art thread on them, I'm sure we'd all love to read them! Well, as long as they're not too private. It's at your discretion, but if there are things that you feel comfortable sharing, that's why the site exists.
