RE: Shimmer Majesty - Pacifist - 10-06-2015

Hello there.

I'm pretty non-threatening. I mostly sort of hang around.

RE: Shimmer Majesty - Lurker - 10-06-2015

Hah! In your face, Ziggy!

It sounds like it to me. Otherkin believe, spiritually or actually, that they're part something else. A wolfkin, for example, would be a human who claims to be part wolf, like mentally or something. On any level except physical. From what I've seen of otherkin, they're... really cringy, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. I've read stories of them barking at meat in stores, scaring away other people who are just trying to shop, or chasing birds like a cat or something. Like many other people on Tumblr, they're just boring and want to seem special, in general. So, they act strangely and stupidly. I'm sure there are some out there who actually take it seriously, whose maturity in the matter allows that solemnity to hold weight, and treat the idea in a manner that would make it at least somewhat worthy of respect, however that may be, but they're no doubt few and far between. The same issue kind of plagues tulpamancers, or ponylovers, specifically. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that there are many waifuists out there who are simply antisocial or depressed and turned to tulpamancing instead of trying to cultivate a romance with an actual human out of fear or something of the sort, which actually would have turned out better for them, while there are others who genuinely are respectful to the idea, decisive in beginning to follow the discipline, and possess the integrity to not only do it well, but see it through to a reasonable end. By 'do it well,' I simply mean, do it respectfully, not necessarily project very well.

Anyway, I don't really have time to go into the details about my opinions on otherkin right now, nor is this thread the place to do it, but as long as I adequately explained why it sounds like otherkin-type stuff to me, it should be good enough. Excuse me for the tangent about ponylovers, it was kind of relevant to the whole otherkin thing. I know you don't have a waifu, at least not yet, but it still makes for intriguing discussion.

*ring* *ring*

Oh, sorry, that's my late bell, it means I'm late to the intro party

Hey there! I'm Equestrian Penguin, but you can call me EP or just Penguin whichever you want. My lover is Spitfire, captain of the wonderbolts, she's pretty cool I guess.

We'll be here if you need during your self discoveries, we've all needed some help in the waifu/tulpae subject and I'm sure we can help you as well.

I hope to see you around the the threads! And enjoy your stay!

But in all seriousness, welcome. Who cares if I'm late here?

Also, about the mlw thing, many of us were former members of that site, and like you, we relocated here to get away from the drama of that place. In fact, this site was created from former members after the founder of mlw went psycho and started fighting with us.

But that's in the past and we prefer to keep it that way. Big Grinerpytongue2: Though if you do need someone to speak with about what's happened, many of us have a different side of the story to tell. Just ask privately, if at all.
