I have been reading on the forms. There seems to be a thing about tulpa... what am I missing? I am aware of what it is, but there seems to be a story or maybe just a backstory here on this forum...
A Tulpa is a thought creature, it lives in your mind, kinda like an "imaginary friend", yet it's self aware, and more developed.
Some have also disparagingly compared it to "hearing voices", like the "Hollywood schizophrenic". In a way, you are "hearing voices", but it's actually "there", and the "voice" isn't a psychotic thought that compels the person to do bad things, (unless of course, you manage to screw up in the creation stage, and somehow, the tulpa ends up with a mental illness, but even then, you should have the self control to ignore any such demands.)
The concept originated with Buddhist monks, who would create them as an exercise in discipline and self control, and only the most disiplined of monks were said to be able to create and care for these sapient mental beings.
