RE: What really grinds your gears? - Rares - 07-26-2017 The IDW MLP Comic staff. Seriously, they need to be booted, it's very evident they don't give two shits about the brand. Like get this, one of the big comic writers, Ted Anderson, recently made a comment that MLP started with the 1986 movie. This is completely incorrect, the toyline has been around since 1982, and the first piece of MLP media was Rescue at Midnight Castle in 1984, followed by Escape from Catrina in 1985. This is something anyone working on the franchise should be familiar with, especially since the fact that the Mane 6 were created based off of characters from both those specials, not anything from the 1986 movie. I'm not saying you should be an expert in it, but if you're working on a franchise you should actually know the history of it. Comments like this I think prove that there's too much of the comic staff that doesn't care about the MLP comics, and Ted Anderson even is known to push an agenda himself. I will leave off with this, because seriously, screw Ted Anderson and all of his other crap he's done with the comics too.
