PSA - Waifus, Tulpas and More - Rares - 12-12-2016
This was just a topic I was talking about with some other individuals, and I felt it was worth making a thread about. Not directed at anyone here, but more of a welcoming message to any new individuals who may join the site. Because I think these are things people should keep in mind, and I hope this welcomes anyone else who may come.
The truth is, there is no "right way" or "wrong way" to love whoever you may hold dear. There is no set rules to follow, as this kind of stuff is always going to be unique to each individual. Trying to mimic others would result in a relationship that you might not feel happy with, because it's not yours. You can always take advice from other people, but remember that things are always going to be different from person to person.
With that in mind, some people feel comfortable with tulpas, and thrive in a relationship that way. Other people perhaps take that same comfort in physical products such as a plush, or a doll. I know I personally need my plush armada. Maybe you might be comfortable with nothing but a single picture you feel a deep connection to. There is no "correct" way to do this, and there are no tools required. Not a tulpa, not a plush, only what you deem necessary for your relationship. Because while we may discuss things about each other, remember that at the end of the day, it just comes down to you two.
Don't feel pressured to do something because of others, just remember, please be you. It's what she would want.

It's a good post that I think everyone should keep in mind. Whether you have a tulpa or not, whether you have an enormous collection of merch, or not, whether you exercise your creative side to the moon and back, or not, the only important thing is that you love your waifu.
