I've never been very good at introductions... - RaptorJesus - 03-11-2017 But Lurker's post coerced me into doing one of these. I'm Raptor. My waifu (and tulpa) is the one and only Rainbow Dash, Font of Inspiration and my beautiful Muse. Before I get into any discussion, I want to define the distinction -however small- between my tulpa and my waifu. I love my tulpa very much, and for all intensive purposes, she may as well be my waifu. However, when I personally think about 'my waifu', I don't think of Dashie the tulpa, I think of Dashie the unachievable dream: still beyond my grasp as a mortal. This distinction gives me room to imagine a real life with the 'real' Dashie, as a sort of goal or motivation. My hobbies include but are not limited to: comp. TF2, locksmithing, jewelry making (new to this), writing shoddy poetry, and doing nothing. I like talking philosophy and psychology, which coincides quite nicely with waifuism. I was recommended this place about a month or so ago by an anon on /mlp/. I only join now because, to be frank, I forgot about it. I have a few questions:
RE: I've never been very good at introductions... - Rares - 03-11-2017 Nice to meet you, welcome to the forum! Hope you feel very welcome here and enjoy your stay. As for your questions Quote:Are 4chan-isms appreciated here? e.g., calling people faggots in a loving way, referring to different groups of people as ______fags, etc.I've seen enough people here do it, especially in the Discord, but I can't speak for everyone. Speaking for myself I don't mind being called a Rarifag. Quote:Is there a comprehensive list of rules?I thought so, I will attempt to dig for it. Is there anything in particular you had questions about? Quote:How common is it for a tulpa to talk by proxy? Mine might want to say a few things.Very common! You'll find that there are actually even some threads devoted for this purpose. Do you happen to have Discord account? Discord isn't really my cup of tea, and I spend all my time in a mumble with some other friends anyways. RE: I've never been very good at introductions... - Gray - 03-11-2017 Oh cool, hello and welcome! Well I think you'll find it's really just as simple as "Don't be a dick". Things are pretty relaxed. RE: I've never been very good at introductions... - whobawhats - 03-11-2017 Why hello there! It's always nice to see a new face around here. I would have to agree with Rare's answers. Just be nice, and if you wish you can call me "Glimmerfag". A number of people on here are from or go on /mlp/ so you should be fine. I hope you enjoy your stay! It's more of a blanket statement than a pronoun, but point taken. I'm thinking I probably won't use it anyhow. I feel I'm going to get to know people well enough to refer to them by name. RE: I've never been very good at introductions... - 7bloom - 03-11-2017 Hey, welcome. It's nice to see a Dashie lover, she's great. It'll be cool to see you around, if you find that you like it here.
