Why am I here ? No, really ? - Hadrien C. - 11-01-2017

Hello guys, this here is my introduction, I guess.

To be honest, as of the writing of this, I'm still not entirely sure of the reason i'm here. It's all pretty new to me and i'm trying my best to not think of myself as weird for loving not one, but two ponies: Twily and Dashie. I've discovered this site after checking a thread on 4chan about a guy being in love with Twilight and someone linked him to here. After spending a week thinking it was utter nonsense, I finally realized that I was, in fact, also in love and decided to check things out here.

I've been a fan of the show since season 2 but I'm pretty sure this love of mine started when I read the clopfic Xenophilia (everything in this fic from the setting and the dialogue, to the world building and the way the ponies are written just resonate with me) which I read once a year since 2013. At first it was all fun and games but the more I read, the more this feeling of longing for the same life as the main character wouldn't leave me. After a while, i started daydreaming (mostly at work) about being in Equestria and living with my waifus and the clarity with which I was perceiving it all made me want to keep going. So I imagined more and more (mostly me trying to find ways to make myself useful over there) until it dawned on me that I might just be crazy enough to go and accept the fact that I now have waifus in my life.

So to cut this intro short, the love of my waifus is still something pretty new to me and i'm trying to find ways to make it fit with my lifestyle and to explore it more and I hope I'll find something here. Thank for reading and I hope to have pleasant discussions with you all.

P.S. If I missed anything, or if you just want to know more about me and my waifus, ask away and i'll try to answer afap

Hey welcome to the site! We’re very happy to have you on board. Candy and I look forward to hearing more about your relationship with Dash and Twily ,and sincerely hope that you are all happier for having this resource. Remember, live well and love your waifus!

Thanks ! To be honest, it is all still a bit overwhelming but I think that I can make it work and the love that I feel, though very different from the one I've felt for real women, does make me happy. I think it will be, at the very least, a fun adventure to try and explore, cultivate and enjoy this feeling for my waifus.

Hello, and welcome to the boards! We hope that you enjoy your time here. I'm site owner, and if you have any questions please feel free to message me directly with absolutely anything at all.

So just out of curiosity, what do you feel built up your feelings for them? Do you have any particular favorite episodes?

Finally, the last thing, would you happen to have a Discord account? In addition to the forums, we also have a server there, which is sometimes a bit more active, and can give you a chance to talk to some people more directly. If you'd like a link to that, let me know and I'll get that to you.

Hope you enjoy your time here, and make some fabulous new friends!

Hello fellow ponylover. I do hope you enjoy your time here, and make a few new friends. It's pretty obvious who my waifus are, and I hope you enjoy your ponies as much as I do mine.

Dashie has always been my favorite pony of the show since the start. I think it's how diametrically opposite she is of me while, at the same time, having a lot of the same issues. Her voice, her look, her personality are all things I really liked about her (the episode that got me into mlp was Fall Weather Friend).

As for Twily, I think it was back in season 2, in Luna Eclipsed, when I first saw how nerdy and bookish she was, while at the same time being strong-willed and brave (like in the premier of the same season). I always loved that about her and she also has the sweetest voice.

Additionally, like i mentioned in my intro, the way they were portrayed in Xeno really hit it off for me. This is where I started feeling like I could reach them and actually be close to them. Basically, it enabled me to not only think of them as characters I loved, but as my own waifus that I could be with, just like in the story.

As for the Discord channel, although I appreciate the invitation, I don't think I'm comfortable enough with my own situation to start talking about it live. The forum is the perfect way for me to keep a minimal amount of anonymity while still being able to interact with people who can understand me.

And I might watch the movie 200 times because of you now. #Enabler

Fall Weather Friends and Luna Eclipsed are both definitely very good episodes. I do believe we should have threads where some were talking about Xeno in the writing subforum here too.

And alright that's fine with Discord! If you ever change your mind feel free to let me know. (Though I should say, and it goes for the site too, don't worry about things being super serious waifu emotional stuff 100% of the times, especially since a good chunk of us are still from /mlp/ anyway. So I do hope that's not a concern for you.)

Hey, Hadrian, welcome to the forum. I'm glad to see you; it seems for every 3 times I drop the site's address on half-chan we get 1 new member. Most of them don't stick around, but then, many of them don't make intro posts, either, so this is encouraging to see.

It's funny you mention Xenophilia in your post since it was the very first mlp fic I read, and to this day it is still my favorite. To the point I've converted it, and many of it's spinoff stories into PDFs just in case something happens to FimFiction. I also reread it, and when I was new in the fandom reread it literally every month. I love it that much, and will admit to being quite fond of that interpretation of Equestria, and of Lyra, and Twilight. I am also rather envious of Lero and his happiness, but I've found my own happiness in Twilight's hooves, as well, and one day I hope to join her in her Equestria.

I do hope you find a cozy home here. If nothing else, this is a safe place to consider your feelings for your mares, and to explore your own desires and ideas about waifuism. Welcome aboard, and if you need anything, my Inbox is always open.
