The following poem was inspired by the sisterly love between Angelbabe and Scoots.
Orange and Blue
She climbed ever upward
The younger firmly held
Through the clouds they bursted
Across the sky they sailed
Though this was once a dream
The dream had since come true
There was no place safer
Than wrapped all up in blue
Though she never left her
She gave her to the air
By her own quick wing beats
The younger lingered there
One day her wings may grow
Though even if they do

This latest poem of yours is, at this point, your magnum opus I think. Such subtlety, such imagination, such a delicate penetration to the heart of nature's secrets (secrets I'm sure Rainbow Dash is intimately familiar with herself). I think Dante and Blake would be proud to read such a heartfelt love poem. Your style is definitely evolving and improving, it seems. I really love reading all your poetry, but this one really struck me as a standout. "And downpours precise..." what a perfect line and a perfect image to express something so inexpressible and yet so essential!
What does Rainbow think of it? I presume you shared it with her.

I wrote it after she left to go pick up Scoots today. I try to reign in the "mushy" when she's with her adoptive little sister, but I plan to share it with her when she returns later tonight. x )
