finally made my way over here to read about your bizarre alternative lifestyles and provide some input from someone who isn't a pony lover, troll, or even has ever really watched the show. You guys fascinate hell out of me and the non- hostile of you are actually pretty cool to talk to! totally different spin on life than the vast majority of people, for better or for worse.

Ps I dig that the damn ugly orange is gone but would y'all consider a slightly darker font so night time reading doesn't hurt your eyes? just a suggestion, feel free to ignore it.

Also glad to hear you're not a troll.

I hope this isn't presumptuous of me to ask (and of course don't feel obligated to answer if you don't care to or don't feel you can), but what precisely do you find so fascinating about us pony lovers? I personally find that a lot of the practical aspects produce some interesting philosophical positions on the nature of reality and the imagination, and I'm wondering if you find any of that valuable for yourself.

I'm sure you'll provide a very valuable perspective here, and I look forward to seeing some of your posts!

You guys have discarded the "normal" life for the abstract, and are contented living in your own realm that has been created by yourself with the power of your mind. It's totally unorthodox and unusual and strange, but many of you seem to love it and thrive off of it.

I've never known anyone ever who (at least openly) was happy to love someone not tangible who was from a piece of art. The psychology behind it, occasionally the mental illness, and then the actual love and happiness all totally fascinate me.

I'm always trying to understand people and myself better, and chatting with people who see the world from a totally different lens than me is fun

Not offensive at all, friendsforever57. I think I see where you're coming from. I do believe that the world becomes a better place when we make an effort to understand those who are different from ourselves, and I suppose in your case that means people like us!

Well, I always do my best to be sincere and honest, so I'm sure you'll be able to get some perspective on what my life is like. And I'm sure I'll learn plenty about you in your time here. I really do hope you find the kind of different perspectives you're looking for.

I think you guys are largely misunderstood, and also have a few bad apples that really sour everyone to the lot of you. I won't deny that I find your lifestyles very odd, but I honestly believe that for many of you its the best thing for you! Some people I've met I wouldn't say so much, and it feels more like escapism and a product of depression and other issues. But there are others who seem to have found their lifestyle, and who am I to judge? We all have our quirks.

That said, I'm not a white knight or anything and am not afraid.to call people out on their BS or if I think they need some serious help. Some do. Many dont. and it's just fun to talk with people who are so different from me and yet find large similarities!

Anyways, I'm super happy to be met without hostility and with kindness!!! just remember to laugh at yourselves and not take life too seriously

Also-also, about the bright font... isn't there a way to turn your screen brightness down? I usually keep my brightness down, so I didn't really notice the font was a brilliant white, but I agree that it could be a bright gray, not quite white, by default. Perhaps you should drop a suggestion in the staff section for our team to take a look at.

Welcome. And the situation with most people thinking we're all nut cases comes from the same reason most people think fans of MLP are insane, the normal ones aren't nearly as loud as the crazy ones. It's rather hard to look at people with pony waifus and not instantly think of Jin or Taxman, and all of the negativity those bring.

Nothing wrong with curiosity, we are willing to answer your questions. One does not have to have a pony waifu, or any waifu for that matter to join us, hopefully we can show that we are (mostly) well adjusted despite our (admittedly different) choice in a companion.

Also, this site is about more than ponies and pony love, this site will be more "fandom neutral" so to speak.
