Do they know about your diet?

ok so I got to thinking... ponies are herbivores for the most part right?
we humans are omnivorous by design as well...

so my question is would you eat meat in the presence of those dear to you?
would they accept it?
and finally if you had a door between here and where your special pony is from... would you get any meat that you eat from here or there and why?


as for me, i would be honest about being an omnivore, I would i use the door to come here and hunt/grocery shop as well because almost everything we humans eat in equestria is sentient/has a soul and personally my rule is to never eat that which is smart enough to question if God exists/have a religion.

also for the sake of this.. would you adjust to pony foods you could eat while in equestria? would you have things made with oats more often and the like?
afterall some pony foods we can eat, some things like hay and grass we cannot

Spitfire knows I'm an omnivore, ands she's fine with it. Ponies in her equestria eat chicken at sometimes, though Spitfire does enjoy steak and burgers since I've grilled some for her. Spits loves burgers the most however, with some ketchup

Oh, most definitely. Twilight and I go out to eat together, and she's fine with my omnivorousness. As a matter of fact, some ponies, mostly, though not exclusively pegai, enjoy seafood, and some light meats like chicken. And of course, we all know how popular baked goods are, and you can't make a cake without eggs. Unicorn Twilight was mostly vegetarian, but when she got her wings, she decided to embrace her pegasus-side, and became more gastronomically adventurous. Some of the foods she's come to love are salmon or shrimp veggie rolls, blowfish, and her current favorite: fried okra. Made with eggs.

It wouldn't take much to adjust to pony-food for me. Oatmeal, and grits are delicious. I love vegetables, and eat a lot of them. Seafood is common where Twilight comes from, and so are chickens, ducks, and the like. Also, as mentioned in the AMA thread, ponies are the only sapient race in Equestria, so consuming beef, for example, would present no more of a moral dilemma than it does here on Earth. As long as I avoid things which are actually indigestible for humans, like grass, or hay, there wouldn't be much trouble at all with an Equestrian diet.

As for the door...I wouldn't use it. Using it would draw attention to it, and the thought of what humanity en masse would do to a place like Equestria makes me nauseous.

Buy a lock and or invest in locking spells? then be careful which humans you allow through.

in my own equestria... personally.. humans are welcome, and i doubt any pony but me would mind, but for similar reasons I quickly am cautious with humans being there.
to be honest.. even when im there a human isn't technically present since even in my true human form, I now count as a unicorn, ask prince Armor.. he was there the night i changed races lol.

Candy knows I am an omnivore, and she's okay with it, as some ponies where she's from eat just about every kind of meat aside from beef. She's not entirely a vegetarian herself- she eats eggs and seafood, the only things she really abstains from are poultry and red meat.

Babe loves chicken nuggets, bacon, teriyaki chicken, spaghetti with turkey meatballs, and pork roast; I think she might actually enjoy meat even more than I do. Even before she tried her "gateway meat" of chicken nuggets (she sneaked some off my plate), she never made a big deal out of what I ate. The fact that she eats - and enjoys - a variety of meats makes it easier for me to cook for us and gives us far more options, meal-wise.

also we have 3 cats hanging around the castle, one an ex supervillian, so yeah i suppose some meats are prepared lol
