the elements were not destroyed. only their representative vessels ( the gems) but twi and friends are the current representative vessels for those magical energies. basically how i see equestria as much deeper than the surface sights.

even in my equestria, i have noticed that it affects you. I used to notice feeling happier and being a better person when i spent more time there, this was in my mind related to the crystal heart and the energies it focuses and spreads.

basically equestria takes what is in you and magnifies it
