S6E15 28 Pranks Later

I've never seen this one before. It felt in some ways like a retread of Mysterious Mare Do Well, but the problem that came in mind was how it contradicted her behavior as early as Griffin the Brush Off where she seemed to be well aware of what was and wasn't okay, particularly with Fluttershy. And at any point, did anyone think the prank went a bit far? It really feels as if this was written for the sole purpose of writing a zombie episode, and honestly I'm really tired of zombie stuff anyway.

If the rumors of this one being a recycled season 1 reject are true, then it deserved to be rejected. As you say, Rainbow knew even then when things had gone too far. In this episode she seems to know it, too, but disregards it, and the way it makes her putative friends feel for the lulz. That doesn't sound like something the Element of Loyalty would do, but what do I know?

Then the zombie-prank retaliation...I don't even know where to begin. This episode makes every pony involved come across horribly. The Walking Dead is popular over here, but the zombie thing itself never really took off, so I'm still up for some genre-related stuff, but it needs to be done well, and this wasn't. Even if we ignore the OoC behavior of so many ponies. It just doesn't fit MLP, and the writing itself was atrocious; you may be right, it was just done to ride the zombie-wave.

Unfortunately, I think this goes along with with my evaluation of S6: it started strong, but went rapidly downhill. *Flutter Brutter* is the worst example of htis, and was the first episode ever to make me genuinely upset. This one isn't as bad, but is pretty darn close. Good riddance.

S6E16 The Times They Are a Changeling

For a Spike episode, which I'm normally disinterested in, I thought this one was fairly decent, and althout I don't like the changelings all that much, I think Thorax was a nice character. The song also I feel was pretty good. All in all, not a lot that I didn't like about this one.

Yeah really. That S1 reject sounds plausible, as the same was said about Carts. So it's possible. All in all, I agree, definitely not returning to that one anytime soon. At least the "zombie episode" is out of their system on the bright side, so they'll be unlikely to ever return to it.

S6E17 Dungeons and Discord

And with this, this goes the last episode I have never seen. A good feeling to have that put away, actually. Anyway, for a Discord episode, I actually thought this one was moderately decent. I mean, though not like the standard is set very high. I mean it just needs to be better than Three's A Crowd... But anyway I thought this one was pretty decent in terms of Spike and Big Mac too, adding a bit more insight to them. All in all, a decent episode.

When this episode first came out, expectations were very low. Discord, Big Mac and Spike? In the same episode? How could they possible carry it by themselves? By the end, however I was pleasantly surprised with it.

S6E18 Buckball Season

I thought this one was really good. I liked what it did for Fluttershy, Pinkie, Rainbow and AJ, I thought they had a great dynamic in it together, and it actually came out a lot more sweet that I would have expected with an episode with this premise. All in all, this was definitely one of the better episodes to come of this season for sure.

S6E19 The Fault in Our Cutie Marks

This one was nice, I liked Gabby a bit. I don't have a whole lot else to say.

S6E20 Viva Las Pegasus

I think this is definitely one of the better map episodes, particular because I feel like Fluttershy and AJ actually did a bit more together. Plus the interactions with other ponies were good, and I thought the environment seemed really fun, and would be a place I'd like to see again in Equestria. Plus, as cliche as it is, I feel you can never really go wrong with a "the intercom was on the whole time" conflict.

S6E21 Every Little Thing She Does

Nope, not today. I'll come back and edit this in in a few days when I can, but this is one I am definitely taking a rain check on watching.

Edit: So I've finally got around to getting this out of the way. Honestly I'm glad I did, and thank you for pushing me to get it over with, you know who you are. This probably isn't the worst episode in the series in terms of quality, but this one just really, really bothers me on a very personal level. Mind control is definitely one of those things that makes me wince, so seeing it applied to Rarity really affects me and makes me feel cruddy. It's one of those things which goes back to seeing the Mane 5 in a compromising position which makes me feel like they're not good enough compared to anyone else. As if they're weak. This isn't the first time this has happened in the show, no, but the fact that it was mind control of all things is what really hurt me. But the other thing that bothered me a lot was it made me feel as if Starlight wasn't really friends with them, especially the first time I saw. During S6, I didn't mind Starlight at first, (though I didn't know all that much about her because I was skipping so many episodes) but all I kept saying was that I hope there was one where she spent some time with the Mane 5 instead. Then this came up, and that's what stung hard for a bit. I was worried Starlight wasn't friends with Rarity. Fortunately I have gained a better perspective, one not glued to the show, and seeing it again at least left me with a feeling of knowing it wasn't done right, instead of fearing that it was right. The ending sequence of Starlight spending that time with everyone was nice though, and that picked up my feelings a bit.

At least I think I'll put this one on the list of episodes I'd rather not see again.

S6E22 P.P.O.V.

This one was decent. I thought the ending was horrible with the resolution of the conflict, but honestly I was satisfied with this one and the layout of it. A little on the simplistic side, maybe. I do feel like I liked it a bit less this time around, but maybe I just wasn't in that great a mood. All in all, I'd say this one was passable.
