Flags!
#1
So it seems I like making flags now. Often with lots of stripes. Also I like alternate history, so these things go together really well.

I have plenty of flags and stuff. I'll upload more as I get around to it. If you want me to make a flag, go ahead and make a request and I'll see what I can do.

These flags are for a timeline where California and Texas end up remaining independent instead of joining the United States. They merge together into the United Republic of Texas-California. A decent chunk of its existence is spent trying to keep Mexico at bay, through assistance from the United States, as well as France.

A what-if within a what-if, namely the two states being taken over by communist and fascist factions respectively.

Do you have any reasons for choosing the designs and colors you do?

This is relevant to my interests.

Really though, this is fun. How about a flag for an alternate timeline in which the Louisiana purchase didn't happen tpand the Midwest/Southwest became its own country?

For the Republic of California, the colors come from the state flag. The red and green are stripes on the state flag, and the brown is the bear.

Anything else, I could give specifics if you ask about specific things, since I would need to revisit my mindset.

The Democratic Republic of Louisiana

In an alternate timeline where France is slightly more successful at stuff, they expand their colonization efforts until the point where they cannot afford to support them as much anymore. New France becomes The Democratic Republic of Louisiana, taking influence to their neighbors to the East.

The Flag bears resemblance to their French founders, but with a wider white stripe to symbolize their larger size and a new golden stripe whose color and shape are representative of their massive agriculture, mostly of wheat.
