Today my mother told me she knows about Nightmare, and has for awhile. She just never said anything until now.

She accepts me. And her.

Wow, dude. That's incredible news. I mean... this is something that very few parents would accept, I think. Have you asked her why? Or are you just going to leave it be?

It has. It feels great to feel as though I know longer have to hide.

Have you asked her why? Or are you just going to leave it be?

She admitted she thought it was crazy at first, and hoped what I was doing wasn't true...until she started seeing me become happier. And she understood that I was functioning normally, if not better than before in the world. Eventually she just accepted it and finally revealed she knew.

Maybe you could share a little more with her, and of her. I'd be curious of her perspective.

Over time I reveal more...don't want to overwhelm her.
