On behalf of Twilight and myself, I would like to welcome you and Katia to Watch Central!

Also, as a former furry, I am familiar with Katia Managan.

Former furry :v? How does that work.

I kinda consider myself a former furry, mainly cause I dont really frequent the furry boards and stuff like I used to, also, I got a little pissed off when on a couple furry boards, they started attacking members who identified as a brony or who posted MLP art
(at the time, I didnt really know much about Bronies, but the MLP art didn't bother me, and it disappointed me that fellow Furries were atacking these new people)

also, I like the artwork and stuff from the furry fandom, but I still felt like i didnt belong that much, i never had a furrysona, never really identified with any one type of creature, or any of that. i just liked the art, and cartoons with them in it, and thats really about it.


i noticed lately I usually look at the pony art a lot and hardly look at the furry stuff anymore.

I don't get all the salt between furries and bronies. Are we not peas in the same pod?

I don't really get it either. Lots of furries and bronies seem to get along well, and we both have a reputation for being extremely awkward and overly sexual, something the others within our groups could do without.

Said "reputation" comes from people who purposely disparage either group, I'd think. I'm sure there are parallels that could be drawn without involving a theoretical third party that mutually dislikes both lol.

And I don't think Broners are sexual enough! Given the flack (and perhaps feigned obliviousness) I got from some of them for being attracted to a pony and the repeated cries of "innocence lost." "How could you possibly be attracted to this?" And then the exceedingly ridiculous comparisons to this-Earth equines and even house cats.

Also, I'm sure there are people in both groups who are awkward... But so what? There's far worse out there. I'll take awkward and honest over smooth and disingenuous any day.

My issue with Broners, in particular...

...has frequently been the seemingly pervasive hypocrisy. They're a group that rallied together in the face of ostracism... And then proceeded to ostracize their own. Often willing to throw the likes of cloppers under a bus the moment a non-Broner began to take shots at them. "No, it's not us that's the problem; it's some of us. We don't like those types either."

At this point, I'd rather be called a horsef****r than a Brony.
