It seems they don't really care all that much, but I vaguely remember Tara Strong having a strong reaction to finding out about Jin and Twilight.

They would most likely be weirded out. I mean general fans of the ponies usually feel uncomfortable about this subject.

The creators know about the fandom and most attend cons and meet ups, the spitfire VA went to a Midwest convention. She even came in a wonderbolt uniform that spitfire wore in wonderbolt academy, she also styled and dyed her hair like Spitfire.
