WaifuQuest: Banul's Tulpa Journal
#1
I figured that it might motivate me if I log my progress where people could actually see it. With that, this is my tulpa journal.

First off, I've actually tried this twice before, and failed for a couple of reasons:

The first time I tried, I decided I was doing it for the wrong reasons. I was, mentally, in a pretty bad place then, and was trying to create somebody who could fix me. Research on the subject revealed that this was a pretty shitty idea, so I stopped and started seeing a therapist.

The second time I started, I dispensed with the notion that I was making somebody to fix me, but I ultimately didn't give the process the time and attention it needed. This is because I'm an undisciplined and easily distracted person.

It's been about a year since my last attempt. Before I start in earnest, I've started to practice meditation to improve my mental discipline, so that I can actually follow through with the process. I've also decided to completely stop playing video games, as they chew up way too much of my life. I want to significantly improve my discipline and focus before I start seriously forcing, as I don't want to get frustrated and stop like the last times. I do some visualizing, but nothing like personality or narration yet.

So that's it for now, the beginning of a new journey. I'll update as I make progress or have anything interesting to add.

P.S.

I'm basing my tulpa on an anthropomorphic Zecora, if you're curious.
