there is a simple answer. what is cannon, is cannon for that universe, your own version is an alternate reality and thus not subject to the rules of the cannon universe. in the cannon one the royal sisters have no other siblings, and we never see their parents. in my version I have met them, and the girls adopted me as a sibling.

also their parents are quite nice, and their mother knows her way around potions

I feel our story really began after Musa's breakup in season 6. I'd been watching her from afar before that. Just feels right to me. what happens on the show now doesn't matter really.

it is different for me. everything that happens in the show eventually happens in my equestria, it might not happen the same day though. in fact half of this last season hasn't happened yet. been a nice time of normality... i miss things happening though
