Seriously, though, I'm not fond of creepypasta fics. If one asked me to point out a good horror-themed MLP fic, I'd point them towards Silent Ponyville. It's most likely as scary (though I have not read Cupcakes, so I cannot give my thoughts towards it past what I know), but it has more depth to it. It doesn't just rely on the shock value of torture and such, it has real dread and atmosphere.

Though I only read it because I find the Silent Hill series itself fascinating. I generally don't do horror.

I stay away from anything pony-and-Grimdark, myself. In the past, I largely wrote horror and the like, but I don't want to see it associated with colorful ponies. That being said: I do appreciate atmosphere. A well-developed atmosphere, in my opinion, is what the horror genre should be about.
