My favorite quote is probably:

It recall it whenever I feel myself becoming to attached to things.
Another is:
"Remember, thou art mortal."
Supposedly, monks would keep a skull in their cells, so that they would always have a reminder of their mortality at hand if they started to become ambitious, or willful. They would touch the skull and repeat that to themselves.
When I find myself thinking I know the best way to do things, or start imaging grand designs for the future, I remember this anecdote.

"This too, shall pass."
For when times are shit shit shit, things hurt, everything is going wrong, just remember, this, and take comfort in the fact that, one way or another, it won't last forever.
