You're right. Instead, Al-Qaeda would've bombed another major American landmark, and Gore would be too chickenshit to retaliate.

But for real, while I don't think 9/11 was an inside job by any means, I think the government took definite advantage of it to bomb the middle east for oil. As unjustified as Bin Laden was, we were no more justified in what we did.
