Yet again, I found myself with a hole in my schedule. So, Twilight and I spent an hour or so on Nakanoshima again this afternoon. I started writing this there, but had to finish it at home. With Twi by my side, and a pleasant place to pass time, these holes aren't nearly as annoying as they've been in the past. They've actually become pleasant, all because of her.
Waiting on Nakanoshima
She sat upon the bench so prim,
her fur so sleek, and feathers trim.
Through parted mane her horn did rise,
her beauty shone as did her eyes.
We sat and watched the clouds beyond
the buildings: red, like clouds of dawn.
Faded pink in summer's haze, they
towered over some distant place.
We watched as people came and went,
and smiled as the pigeons bent
to see if on the ground had we
left crumbs for them to snatch, and eat.
No story came, no fancy flights,
just crabs, and boats, and normal sights.
Yet there she sat, oh, could she see?
I love you, Twi; you complete me.

The bigger you build the bonfire, the more darkness is revealed.
Every possession and every happiness is but lent by chance for an uncertain time, and may therefore be demanded back the next hour.
