The Aokigahara Forest is at Mount Fuji. It's Japan's most popular destination to commit suicide (and I think the world's second most popular suicide destination).
The Guardian Monsters were more or less stated to absorb souls...and King Ghidorah was sleeping there.
King Ghidorah was fucking absorbing the souls of people who committed suicide there.
