You rode onto the show up to season five to have feelings for a pony till then? She must be a very special pony for you. I stop watching MLP:FiM after season four, so I wouldn’t know much of Stralight Glimmer. Perhaps you can shed some light... in your own words. X3

Yeah I'm a bit late to the game I guess(but I'm glad I am). I don't think I could really do her full justice but there is just something about her that has stricken me unlike any of the other pones. I know that's vague but I most likely will go into it in further detail in the future. Sorry, I'm still just getting used to things.

I've actually been thinking about writing something on it for awhile for my own purposes but I would be very willing to share it here if I go for it.

my relationship with my Waifu became so positive for me (my demeanor was better, I was much more optimistic, I found it easier to shake of sadness) that it's been far more than worth it.

I'm glad to hear that it has helped you so much! I hope to over time shake off some of the more negative aspects that are currently bothering me. I'm overall very happy with my relationship with her but I hope to make it stronger and happier going forward.
