I remember when I was young and actually liked the world.

I hope you do know that nothing should mean you can't go back to that type of mindset. You can see good in things too.

I've been told that many times. I may enjoy my existence (most of the time) and find hope in it, but I don't think I'll ever actually like the world or the human majority. I just can't. Nor should I, really.
