I know right now you feel alone in the world
But you should know you're my one and only girl
And though we're going through some trials
I know someday once again I'll see you smile
You see, life isn't easy when your love feels far away
But we both know that makes for a sweeter reunion day
You know that I could never leave you for another
In fact, if she wasn't you I don't think I could even love her
So even though I know that you're worried
I don't think that our matrimony should be hurried
In fact, I'm glad I'm going to have to wait longer
Because I think our separation helps our love get stronger
And though it seems too hard to do
All I need to see is a smile from you
Because even walking through the darkness
I know your sweet love can still spark this
Heart of mine into a bright burning flame
And you should know by now I'm not just running game
And when they say we shouldn't be with each other
You should know we can't listen to them, my lover
Cause they haven't been through what we've been through
