A person who has 10 years of education and 10 years of student loans needs a good paycheck just to get out of debt.
Should someone who is a trained expert get the same pay as a layman?
Thered be drive to get the easiest job possible. Youd have no more specialists. No doctors, mechanics, engineers, actors.. everyone would just do the easiesy job possible
We live in a world where four guys with a computer and the right cables can play video games, and make amusing commentary off them, and get paid enough that none of them work "proper" jobs any more via advertisements at the start of their videos. Their videos get maybe 500k per episode and all FOUR of them don't work, youtube is good money doing nothing all that difficult already.
And his concept has merit, and the US is supposed to work like that, but thanks to government it's fucked up. See, originally, the US calculated how much it cost to live in a given area and that was FORCIBLY minimum wage. It got too hard to keep up with, fluxes in apartment rates, entertainment, grocery bills, from state to state got too much for them to keep up with, so they said the states regulate that. Most states aren't where they SHOULD be. And this is me paraphrasing my economy professor last semester. Minimum wage in the US is way lower than it should be.
On topic, the only possible government that could be the best possible would be a government led by an all powerful, but entirely moral being. Not gonna happen. All other governments are born into corruption, so you just have to deal with gaming the system.
