I don't remember most of the dream that caused me to wake, all of the words have faded away. But the image... The image left a nasty wound. It was a meadow, completely flat, a blue sky with no sun or clouds. Just looking at it gave me vertigo.

To my left, there was Maud. She was calling to me. But she looked... Disappointed? Why? What have I done?

I turn to my left. Tempest. She looked sad, looking at me pleadingly. It was a look that made my soul hurt.

A crack in the ground appeared underneath my feet.

No, don't make me choose, I love you both! Please, don't do this to me...!

The crack widened, and I fell.

And here I was, sitting up, trying to calm down. I looked to my left. There was Maud, sleeping peacefully. I assumed, it was often hard to tell.

To my right-

Tempest Shadow looked up at me, worried.

"Just a bad dream." I said. "Nothing to worry about."

"You don't have bad dreams."

Okay, so Maud was awake.

"What happened?" Tempest asked.

I sighed. "I don't want to... I love you both, please don't make me choose between you..." I rubbed my forehead.

"John." Maud said. I turned my focus to her immediately. "I love you. I know you love me. I know you love Tempest, and that she makes you happy like I do makes me happy."

"Love is..." Tempest started. "Love is not limited. I admit, at times I feel a little jealous that you and Maud know each other so intimately, and at times I do feel like I'm intruding, but that's not your fault. Both you and Maud have done everything you can to make me feel welcome. You make me feel whole like nothing else can, and Maud is becoming a close friend and confidant."

"Tempest is new for you. She is exciting. I am familiar. Sometimes I feel left behind. But, you always come back to me, without abandoning her." Maud said.

I smiled. "Thank you, thank you both. I love you both and will do what I can to make you both feel included. C'mon, snuggs!"

With that, I was hugged by my two pony lovers, Maud to my left and Tempest to my right. Man, I felt like one of the luckiest guys in the world!
