As it also dances on your bister mane
Like contemplation, it slows time to a crawl
It preserves your beauty in the amber of the moment
And frees me to look about you in awe
As the bread arrives at our table, we speak softly
Of how good our days together have been
And of what beauty and rapture our future holds
As you nibble at the bread with tenderness, as if afraid to hurt it
I wonder just how such a kind and benevolent being as you could be
As we walk through the darkened streets
I feel no fear, for you are at my side
The stars cover us in a blanket of wonderment
And once again we are as children, captivated by the magnitude of it
We lay out a blanket to watch the night sky
And we are comfortable in each other’s hooves, staring at the heavens
Another beautiful poem. The last line intrigues me. If I may ask, is it told from the perspective of your ponysona?
It’s interesting...I guess I have never really divided my ponysona from my current self when I think about Candy. You sort of sent me into a journey of self-discovery there, I had never thought about it before.
It’s kind of a combination. I wasn’t intentionally thinking on my ponysona, but I wasn’t thinking about being human either. I usually just use “hoof” because Candy is more comfortable with it. She doesn’t really have a clear concept of what a hand really is.
Intriguing to think about.
