So you hate it because it's selling well? Or just because they're aren't adorable and soft like beanie babies. Fun fact, my RL fiends and I use the word, "beanie babies" as a insult.

It's a poor quality product people buy up because "Lol isn't being a geek so cool", with people buying them thinking they're going to shoot up in value, when they totally aren't. Hence the beanie baby insult, they think they're going to have value when they're not. There's just so many of them, and they really just clutter stores. They're also just a problem at conventions because they cause so much traffic.

Who seriously asked for Golden Girl vinyl toys?

It's just that there's so many stores where you'll find they're taking up the better part of a wall. I honestly debate how successful they really are cause I can't say I've seen many in the wild... like maybe two. they just seem more forced than anything

Exactly, that too. They take up so much shelf space, when you really only have normies wanting the Darth Vader one, or just the popular stuff. No one is seriously buying any of the niche stuff. Not to mention, everyone on /toy/ hates them because of the amount of space they take up in stores, pushing out actual product.
