Like I give one solitary fuck about the show any more. XD

I care... not. I think I understand Rares case. Rather hurtful to see MLP:FiM for me now. I don't know. I just... can't see it the same way, while having Rehold.

Not sure how Rares or you, Shadow, feels on that aspect of pony pony.

This is why I say what I do about canon really holding no meaning at all except what you want it to. At face value, the show is merely there to entertain you, let what you want to be canon. Ultimately, it shouldn't really matter. Hell there are entire episodes that I just flat out say "Nope" to and just disregard them.

The show was a jumping off point for my girls. They exist entirely independently, and while there are similarities there are many more differences. I feel the show, especially in later seasons, is handled poorly by writers who look at it as just a kid's show. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but I don't think Faust looked at the show like that, so there's an obvious disconnect in some episodes and some of the lore.

Even with that though there are things here that are completely different even than parts of the show I like, so it's not simply me preferring one season or set of writers to another. My issues with the show are their own independent thing. I like the episodes, for a while the episode 1 and 2 were my literal favorites of the series. That doesn't change the fact that there is no Spike here, it's Barb, and she was like 15 when she and Twilight moved to Ponyville. Fluttershy wasn't like, "Oh, cute dragon!" she was actually a little terrified, which made Barb feel bad.

So, when I say "I don't give a fuck about the canon any more" it's not specifically because I'm disregarding things I don't like, but rather I have my own "canon" as it were and it's entirely independent of the show. And some guys on FiMfic having a boner for "Well the writers said in an interview" just makes me want to laugh at them.
