Tsk, for shame. That gives more the reason not to watch the new episodes. EVER!!! >

I think there's still quite a lot good, I mean I think my top 4 favorite episodes are all post what you've seen, including one from S7. But not everything is always fabulous.

At the very least the first season should be mandatory viewing for the new writers. I know they can't watch it all because time constraints, etc, but the first season covers the basics of the characters, establishes backstory on them and the world, it's simple compared to what they get up to today, but at least it would give them an idea of the characters so we don't have massive slip ups.

I think if anything they should try yo watch as much of the show as they can, or at least the highlight episodes of the main character being written about. But I think some just don't do anything. For example, one S7 episode that rather annoyed me quite a bit showed Rarity on a very close business relationship with Photo Finish, which was just ludicrous since they hadn't seen each other since that S1 episode and how Photo ignored her then.
