Gentian's Photographic Misadventures
Valentine's Day!

Before Twilight came into my life, this day passed pretty well ignored. It didn't make me happy, it didn't make me sad, it was just another day. Needless to say, that's no longer the case. This is yet another way in which Twilight has given my life some meaning, and I love her all the more for it.

An explanation of the pic is perhaps in order? Very well! On the screen there you see the 2 previous Hearts and Hooves days we've enjoyed together. In this one, there's Twi, gorgeous as always, and some heart-shaped peanutty chocolates I bought for her. I bought a lot more than that, actually, but it just made the shot look cluttered, so we minimized. Leaning against her chest is a little card I made for her, and in front of her is a rose.

If you're taking the time to read this, you may, or may not be aware that my OC's cutie mark is a blue rose. For this special day, I wanted a rose that blended both of our colors together: my blue, and her purple. I think it turned out really nice.

The only thing I regret about it is that I couldn't surprise Twilight with any of this. As she spends so much time with me, and tends to come and go suddenly, there was no way to keep it secret. She saw me buy the chocolates, she saw me make the rose, and the card, and she even saw me pen the verse. She promised to still act surprised, but really, surprised or not, she's happy, and thus, so am I.

Happy Hearts and Hooves to you all.

The bigger you build the bonfire, the more darkness is revealed.

Every possession and every happiness is but lent by chance for an uncertain time, and may therefore be demanded back the next hour.
