There he stands, heart in his hands
Fair to say, he doesn’t stand a chance

Could he blame her if she laughed
Should he chance looking so daft

Fears of rejection plague him
Tears shed for a love not on a whim

Rows of stallions had failed before
Suppose it’s foolish to hope for more

Look at yourself, a lovesick fool
Took fate for a spin, and it took you to school

But who rides a bike the first time they get on
What else to do with my life, then over her to fawn

Resolution I can keep within my heart
Solution is to love her, even though we are apart

Trust in God, and on some sunny day
Bust through the clouds, into paradise far away

First time ever, her lips meeting mine
Immersed in pleasure, emotions divine

Keeps me going forward, towards a brighter time
Weeps for the moment, but has hope sublime
