What to do on a starry night
Both get lost in a fancy flight
At the sight of your pretty face

We both need this moment
We need to feel the mutual compassion
I’ve been lost in the torrent
And I’ve been flailing for hope and passion
Seeking the joy that you can foement

I think you’ve been lost without us
And you need to feel secure about us
So I will hold you tight to my side this evening

We’ll be lost in the feelings
That we will catch in a jar
And in both our healings
That we know we couldn’t get from afar
We’ll be satisfied in the dealing

Of the hand that God has given
To us so that we will be driven
To give the compassion to each other we need

To keep our business on this mortal plane upright
We can treat others in just fashion
We can avoid the unholy worldwide fight
Because our love serves as a strength-giving bastion
The lighthouse which amplifies the righteous light

So let our love be forever blessed
Let all quarrels between us be redressed
And let me look at you with a lover’s eye
