Just went on a binge of reading some of your recent poems. Do you usually think of them just going about your day? Or do you sit down and think about them at times? Basically I kind of wanna hear about your creative process!

Hey Warden, I’m going to come back to your question when I have some more time to answer. It’s pretty late right now, LOL. In the meantime, I have a new one to post:

The sweltering heat bears down
The summer is coming yet again
And with it comes an old friend
A friend I have long awaited to come around

The humid air brings down your hair
As the warm spring rain pings on the roof
And so we will take this as proof
That this moment was designed for us to share

So out we step, a leap of faith
Each in our hearts the other trusts
Until all Earthly things return to dust
And our souls contour our love as iron from a lathe

Such a special moment in the growing heat
When one gazes into their lover’s eyes
Realizes they’ve won so great a prize
That they need not fear some future defeat

Because love like ours is true
We see it both in the passion of the day
And in the dedication to stay
Until we can be together; until Earthly time is through
