As the summer heats up, so do our lips
Until they lock in a sweet, sentimental kiss
Your cute smile carries me into my dreams
And the night is never as dark as it seems
Because with you laying by my side
I can hop on a falling star for a midnight ride

These rushes of whimsy fill my mind
With the kind of joy I hope I can find
In that great beyond someday
But I can enjoy it now, anyway
And so for tonight I am at peace
And all my Earthly trouble will momentarily cease

Your cute giggle startles me up
And the smile that accompanies it is cute and abrupt
Laughing in your sleep, you are such a silly pony
But you know I’d want you no other way; you’re my one and only
So we tangle deeper into the sheets together
Even though we’re laying in sweltery warm weather

Oh, how you can make me feel like a young boy again
Restore my laugh and my smile to the way they were then
Because you have brought me back to the simple pleasures
The joys of the heart that money can’t measure
And if there is one thing I can always promise we’ll be
