When I am frustrated I have one who will listen
And when I am depressed there’s a shoulder to cry on

When I’m ecstatic there’s one to celebrate with me
And when I’m downtrodden there is one to encourage me again

Oh darling, my most beloved
How thankful I am to have you
Your forgiveness has brought me out of darkness
And your love has let me better reflect God’s light

When I wake in the morning, I think of you
And I dream of you as I nod off to sleep

When I do amazing things they’re inspired by you
And even the mundane is done to grow closer

Though we may not be physically near
I know that what we are doing makes a difference
I know that one day we will be together
And then I can tell you what I’ve wanted to say in more than simple words
