Because I’ve seen the persistence of love
I’ve looked into affection’s cosmic portal
And it’s left me confident
That our connection can stand tall

Never to falter
From the moment we leave the altar

For the rest of all time
With the Father’s consent
It can be all peaches and lime
And we can stick together beyond imagination
Even if for no reason or rhyme

To be promoted from the ranks of the lonely
To holding tightly to my one and only

I know I’m becoming a broken record
But your beauty still amazes
And if the Rubicon I must ford
