I think your assessment has potential, Kaltes-Herzeleid. A plush, especially one of the quality that you will be receiving, could certainly help as an external focus for visualization. You may find over time, though, that you might want to gradually (and I mean GRADUALLY) move away from the plush, so as not to become dependent on it for visualizing Nightmare's presence. I think, after working with it, you should find that both hearing her and picturing her are easier.

Anyway, I had a talk with another user who gave me some good advice regarding voice. Apparently visualizing her will help with the voice's clarity, essentially imagining her physically speaking. Makes me nervous...I have a hard time holding a clear image of her in my head...I guess I'll get better with practice.

However this is where the plush might help. I feel like if I imagine/focus on her voice coming from the plush it'll allow me to properly and fully hear her, and she'll use it as a vessel.
