I must be the only one here who just can't stand anime, yet nearly everyone around me both online and IRL are so into it.

I did watch um... Boku no Pico once if it counts >~<

Anime ain't what it used to be; not for me, at least. I'm sure there are still worthwhile series out there, but you first have to wade through a sea of goofy, substance-lacking, fanservice-centric anime that may or may not involve amorous little sisters practically mounting their big brothers or young women being forced to wear revealing maid outfits.
