The sound gets muddy as fuck. I would take clarity over bass anyday.
Throw out your Skullcandy suggestions, I wonder if they had improved by now.
Perfection is boring anyway. As long as there's still a good dynamic range (I guess I have a high tolerance for compression) I'll take bass.
Besides, melody always comes first, even if it's *gasp* compressed.
I forgot to mention earlier, I also own these semi-open monitor headphones that I use to make music.
ATM I'm looking into getting a pair of Shure SE215s.
What monitors do you use ? Aren't monitor headphones supposed to be closed ?
One time, I was listening to Animals by Martin Garrix (which is already a really muddy mix) on this speaker with lots of bass, and it sounded amazing.
Superlux looks way to similar to the AKG headphones.
