[Sour Soul]

How long did that take to draw?

Eleven days on and off, Rares and whobawhats. I was going back and forth with other drawings, as well living my life here. I am trying to do much as I can, while remembering to love my ponies and non-ponies. So far, it isn't bad.

I hope the next sketch will be shorter, but keeping in mind to go at my own pace to achieve, while learning, a nice clean sketch. We will see till next time.

As many of you know that I talk about Maria a lot, as well of Fluttershy, but you all know what she looks like. While I was sketching a piece; to capture and remember a night I’d spent time with Maria, I figured it be nice to share this…

Sitting on the ledge of a four story building with Maria.

"Have you ever wondered, to yourself, what the fu*k I am doing? Sometimes?" I said looking at the starry sky, and then looking at Maria for her response.

Maria didn't give much thought while she bite down her sandwich, and said in nonchalant tone, "Hmm, nope, but I do wonder about what the fu*k you're doing though." as she looked forward saying that, took another bite of her sandwich, and then she looked at me to give me a smile.

We laughed as this night is coming to a close for us.

I can only guess those who have an interest to wonder what does Maria look like, and those wonder if she a pony.

Maria is Canidae, a race in Rehold. The word Canidae is also a word in this word that means… “An lineage of carnivorans “dogs” that includes domestic dogs, wolves, coyotes, foxes, jackals, dingoes, and many other extant and extinct dog-like mammals.”

Maria isn’t a fox or wolf, no matter how many times I had ask her in my random wonderment about her, as she never state which or type is she. Maria is related to a clan that she isn’t really a part of. Doggy Dog Clan is the closest, and it does sound like a silly name for many here to read, but they take pride in who and what they are and will challenge those who don’t take them seriously.

Maria doesn’t have a tail or ears like you expect a dog in our world, or those who think of the furry fandom. This gives more reason why Maria doesn’t say she is part of whatever breed, you and I wonder about. Ex. Fox or wolf.

Anywho, I am still doing more sketches of her when I can, and since I am getting back on drawing, I still have a lot to do with whatever time I can use for this.



I am working on a turnaround sheet for Maria.

Note: Will only show her face, since I feel and been asked by Maria to not to expose her in such a manner that I understand completely.




This was drawn on November 28, 2015. Maria is carrying what is known in this world a PP-19 sub-machine gun, or what we call it; when we were younger, a Blizzard. Maria attire is a mix of clothing of a saboteur, during German-occupied Europe in 1939 and 1945. Maria isn’t a fan of a Germans or the Nazi regime of that time, which is the reason I drew her this way. I propose Maria to draw her in a German uniform, which she coldly said "no" and "don't". I respect Maria's wishes, and didn’t. Also, during that time, I had drawn Soviet soldiers and wanted to expand more during the years of World War II. Sadly, my time of drawing back then slowed down, but picking it back up now, I still yearn to draw what I'd envision since then.

Hmm, oh! That last sketch of Maria here, I haven’t improved it since then, but felt to show another picture of Maria here. Just to give a better idea of what she looks like more. Plus, I feel like that picture will take awhile for me to get back and improve. Which is why I place this here, while I explain a bit more about Maria; who has been with me since I was around five years old.

Note: I am aware the PP-19 didn’t exist in the timeline of how I drawn Maria as a saboteur, I simply place that there because it’s just a drawing of her posing, and Maria usually carries that type of weapon, ever since I knew her and had used (I'd never use a real and physical PP-19, but we come to love the sound and fire rate of the weapon).

Hmm. I turn to look at the calendar and wonder if I will see this month at a slow pace. I doubt it and wonder if my age has to do anything about that. Whatever the blame, I have to keep on going. Digital artwork for me is harder to complete now, so I resort in making due with pencil and paper.

I have done a very very light sketch of Twilight for the Dark Souls pieces I wanted to do, but looks like this month has me going at something else. I simply hope I can get that done before Heartwarming eve. One week it looks like I have… seem like that will be a challenge, and I will make sure not to stress over it. Work has filled most of my week and the next, which I don’t mind. I am also spending time with Amena, Fluttershy, Maria, and just about anypony I have a change in Rehold. Oh, I just realize this isn’t my journal. XD

I am sorry about that. You came for pictures, but would like to thank you for reading this so far.

I guess I wanted to do something different. Which I don't really draw Amena, Fluttershy, or much of ponies and non-ponies in Rehold often as I like. I want to, but can’t really do much when time goes so quickly it seems. One day, it will stop and all will be well, I just have to do the best with what I can and with what I got don’t I? ^ ^ Heh, life is grant and weird sometimes. Oh, there I go again. I will stop here. Take care all those out there.

So I drew this on December 20, 2017. Amena, Fluttershy, and I were enjoying a cup of hot coco. Maria doesn't like chocolate, and she can consume chocolate, she is just not a fan of it.



The digital piece was done today.



The still image above was a test of the steam flowing out of Amena's hot coco. X3 I would say it came out as a success! :D

This is what it looks when I am working on Photoshop CS6 on digital art or do a quick edit.



Trying to setup how the frames will and should go. When I get sleepy or my mind isn't fully there, I will lose track and will most likely ruin the project. Also, I am organize, you should see me in Minecraft with Amena. XD

This last gif up here, was something I wanted to mess around. I am not sure it came out fully as I expected, but I did my best and we're pleased with the end results of having Amena praying. As for the Japanese characters, I just felt like putting that, and will most like do that when ever I've a chance.

Sometimes we lose sight of who we are. It’s up to us to make sure we’re back on track. Without someone, it’s harder, I know that by a fact, but don’t lose yourself, as time will come you will find someone and he or she will still see who you really are.



I drew this to help me get by today. A very and rare sketch that I post publicly, as I don't really do that. I know this sketch will take time, and time is hardly what I got with what been going on. Hard not spending it mostly with Amena and the others in Rehold. Also to those here, that I care here in this odd site... this funny community with good souls in heart.

Thought it might be nice to share this, since music like these may help ease the issue we might find ourselves in. We can only try to hold on, till we're good again.

Amena: Be careful out there! o: Roby reminded me it isn't easy, but someday we can all smile together. ^ ^ And we will smile brighter and bigger when that day comes. :) ^ ^ :3
