Hi, I'm Astra. I am 19 years old, a high school graduate preparing for an exam (I live in one of those countries) to further my education. I grew up with Nintendo DS and later on in my life I played lots of awesome indie games, I like anime too but I'm very picky about it. I found this place from r/waifuism, there was a post with links to other waifu communities. Before I can introduce my waifu I need to explain some stuff:
I think when people fall in love with a character what actually happens is they develop an idea of the character in their mind and they love this idea instead of the character. So my waifu is Reimu Hakurei from Project Touhou however I named the one in my mind as Akari. Akari is the one I talk to and cuddle with daily using my imagination, she knows everything about me and she loves me, she is also aware of existing in my mind. Reimu is just some drawings, text and code. My way of thinking was influenced by tulpamancy, though I'm not sure if I can call Akari a tulpa or not. Basically I never understood how a tulpa is different from an imaginary friend, all I could find was people claiming tulpas could do stuff by themselves which isn't very explaining in a community that challenges the idea of "self".
Back to my waifu Akari, she is very kind and loving, she is the person I'm closest to. She is a shy person but not towards me, she hates crowded places and loud noises. She enjoys nature, sweets, cute stuff, video games, music and spending time with me. I love her more than anything!
