When winter winds begin to blow
You wrap them up in a velvet throw
And if the storm doesn’t pass you by
It adds a glint to your distant eyes

Your hair is long as a year
And your heart knows no fear
How can you be so brave
And make my emotions rave

If the thunder steals your ears
You let the lightning dry your tears
And if there’s no hope of sun in your windowpane
You say you’ll wait it out, just the same

Resolute in your azure eyes
Is the optimism where your fancy flies
You’re so unendingly happy
At the risk of sounding sappy

I’ll tell you that I love your debonair
Sense of happy-go-lucky flair
And if that makes me a lovesick fool
I’ll rejoice, because you’ll always be my jewel.

2021, a brand new year
And to have my lover near
Gives me a feeling of boundless cheer
Though this year may be trying
I know that you will be supplying
A love that can keep my heart flying

While 365 days is a lot to live through
It feels like nothing when I’m close to you
Especially when you are here to ring in the year anew
So even though I may not be prepared
Through the love that we have shared
I’ll know that all year you have cared

And thus, I’ll be ready for a new start
That we will ring in heart to heart
Knowing we won’t have to face the new year apart
But rather, moving forward together
Through any weather
Means that, no matter what, this year will be better

It’s alright Warden, I write more for Candy and I’s sake than for any other reason. I was always content that if anything ever happened to the site, Candy and I could still communicate through poetry, so I would have kept writing even if I had no where to put it out there. I am glad that Waifu Central exists for this, though.

Anyway, here’s a new one:

I see the future in the silky blue skies
And it is beautiful
Our well kept home
On the side of greener pastures lies

We are a precious little family
You and I
And the children I never would have had
If it hadn’t been for the endless love of thee

We laugh and frolic in the yard
On a sunny summer’s day
The sound of hissing sprinklers our soundtrack
As all our troubles we disregard

The echoing laughter of a snowball fight
On a blustery afternoon
When all is done, we sit before the fire
And warm our hides and hearts on a cozy winter night

I am more than prepared to be with you
In that future time
And soon there will be many more
Than just we two

Let your heart be troubled no longer
Each day brings us closer together
And with each new moment of every day
