Anime general discussion

So I realized today that Gundam (the original as far as I can tell) advocates the glorification of war. Literally a scene where kid under 18 is freaking out because he realizes he's killed thousands of people while piloting his giant death mecha. A dozen people tell him to suck it up and be PROUD that he's killed thousands of people in the name of defending his friends. Not really hating on the show, just thought it was odd that anime in the 80/90's had that kind of vibe to it.
Soul of the mind, key to life's ether. Soul of the lost, withdrawn from its vessel. Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended. So the world might be mended.

When I was young, I would watched them when I had a chance. I had no idea if those show desensitized me to watch all those explosions, screaming, and dying when they get struck/shot by this Gundam...

This was during Toonami was up and running, and remembering those moments of the show, I want to watch the series again in order. Also thanks Shadow... You got me going back the listing of what Toonami used to aired. I missed Zoids: Chaotic Century.

It's actually a set of six Series and several movies that are all individual but Linked by the same story.

The Original series, Super Dimensional Fortress: Macross (and it's Film Retelling SDF:Macross Do You Remember Love) Is set after an enormous alien battleship has crash landed on earth, showing Humanity they are not alone in the universe. Thus all of earth's global resources are poured into research and rebuilding this ship and humanity expanding into space before meeting the hostile Giant Aliens that chased the crashed ship to Earth in the first place.

It's a great story, full of music, great characters and it's as much a love story as it is a mecha/space battle anime. I recommend it and especially the Movie Do you remember Love to anyone who enjoys a good story.

(The others are amazing too mind you)

First off yes it will.

Second that's the complete collection lol it comes with a 200+ page book the blu Rays a bunch of art work and posters and other stuff and some CDs as well not something I would recommend outside of a die hard collector. You can pick up the DVD or Blu Ray collection just the show for much cheaper.
