We still watch the older episodes. Frankly, the way the writers have been behaving, newer ones are becoming less and less enjoyable. That's a bit of a paradox, since I'll readily admit there have been some good episodes in the last 2 seasons, but it's pulling further and further away from that magical Once Upon A Time, feeling, and the wonder and hope that first drew me to MLP. We still enjoy watching the older episodes, but the newer ones feel almost like a chore.
We are also tentatively starting on the new EQG series. I'm trying to give it a chance, and while there are some good episodes, Hasbro is committing the cardinal sin of officially shipping main cast members. Timber belongs in a North Korean labor camp, not running all over hitting on high school girls, especially not that one. She's a different Twi, yes, but the resemblance is close enough to put me off, and he's such a Chadtastic creep besides. She deserves better, and just as I don't force us to read bad fanfics, I won't force us to watch bad animated fanfiction, either.
